With over 18 years of experience in healthcare, George Cannon began his career as an EMT, providing acute medical care and developing a deep respect for the resilience and complexity of each individual’s story. He continued to advance his education at Valencia College and South College, ultimately pursuing advanced training in psychiatric mental health nursing. George is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and remains committed to ongoing professional development, ensuring that the care he provides reflects current, evidence-based practices.

As a husband and father, George understands firsthand the importance of balancing work, family, relationships, and personal well-being. He recognizes that life’s responsibilities can often feel overwhelming and believes that mental health care should support the whole person—not just address symptoms. His personal experience with the demands of family life informs his compassionate and practical approach to helping individuals find greater balance and resilience.

George works with individuals seeking thoughtful, compassionate support for a wide range of mental health concerns, particularly those who value a personalized and collaborative approach to care. Many individuals seek care when they are looking for greater clarity, stability, and a path forward. George partners with each patient to better understand their experiences, manage symptoms effectively, and develop a treatment plan that supports lasting growth and meaningful change.

Eyleen is fluent in both English and Spanish and is pleased to offer psychiatric care in either language. Eyleen habla inglés y español con fluidez y se complace en ofrecer atención psiquiátrica en cualquiera de los dos idiomas

Eyleen Cannon is a bilingual (English/Spanish) board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 13 years of experience in healthcare. Her diverse clinical and leadership background includes community mental health, acute medical care, behavioral health case management, home health, and nursing leadership.

She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from South College in Tennessee and holds a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Health Services Administration from Barry University.

Eyleen’s goal is to provide supportive, compassionate psychiatric care where patients feel genuinely heard, understood, and respected. She believes effective mental health care begins by meeting each person where they are and creating a safe, judgment-free space where they can work toward healing and recovery at their own pace.

Her approach is person-centered and grounded in evidence-based treatment modalities. She works collaboratively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to develop individualized treatment plans that reflect each patient’s unique needs, values, goals, and circumstances. She respects people of all backgrounds and beliefs and strives to provide care that honors each individual’s experiences and perspectives.

Having a particular interest in women’s mental health, Eyleen recognizes the complex relationship between hormonal, reproductive, physical, and emotional health. She understands firsthand that women’s health concerns can intersect with mental health in meaningful and sometimes complicated ways. Her approach emphasizes listening closely to each patient’s experiences and working collaboratively to identify solutions that support the whole person.

For those who are interested, Eyleen also offers an integrative approach to mental health care that explores the intersection of Christian faith and neuroscience. This approach is offered as an option for patients who desire to incorporate their faith and spiritual values into their mental health journey, while continuing to use evidence-based psychiatric treatment.

Eyleen is committed to compassionate, collaborative care that supports the whole person—not simply a diagnosis. Her hope is that every patient feels heard, valued, and supported as they take meaningful steps toward greater mental wellness and recovery.
